CHICAGO – The Chicago White Sox announced the following five roster moves:

· Exercised the $3.5-million club option on INF/OF Leury García for the 2021 season;

· Reinstated RHP Michael Kopech from the restricted list;

· Reinstated RHP Jimmy Lambert from the 60-day injured list;

· Declined the $12-million club option on DH Edwin Encarnación for the 2021 season (no buyout);

· Declined the $7-million club option on LHP Gio González for the 2021 season ($500,000 buyout).

Additionally, the Baltimore Orioles today claimed INF Yolmer Sánchez off waivers. Following the moves, the Sox 40-man roster decreases to 36.
