Bears announce several roster moves

The Chicago Bears on Saturday announced that the club has activated running back Travis Homer from Reserve/Injured; Designated for Return and elevated defensive lineman Jonathan Ford and kicker Jake Moody from the practice squad for Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints. Per NFL regulation, all standard elevations revert back to the practice squad following the game.

Additionally, defensive lineman Austin Booker (Knee) and linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga (Knee) have been downgraded to OUT and remain on Reserve/Injured; Designated for Return.

Chicago has also signed defensive lineman Tanoh Kpassagnon to the club's practice squad.

Homer has accumulated 75 career regular-season games played with Chicago (2023-24) and the Seattle Seahawks (2019-22). Since being selected by the Seahawks in the sixth round (204th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft, Homer has accounted for 951 yards from scrimmage, dispersed between 476 rushing yards on 89 carries (5.3 avg.) and 475 receiving yards on 55 catches (8.6 avg.), securing three scrimmage touchdowns. Last season, Homer appeared in 10 games for the Bears, adding six special teams tackles as a contributor on Chicago's coverage units. A native of West Palm Beach, Fla., Homer prepped collegiately at the University of Miami (Fla.), where he totaled 37 games played over three seasons of action (2016-18), earning Second-Team All-Atlantic Coast Conference recognition following each of his final two seasons with the Hurricanes.
