Chicago Cubs infielder Jack Reinheimer was claimed by the Texas Rangers on Tuesday afternoon according to multiple reports.

The team's 40-man roster is now set at 38.

Last season in Triple-A, the 26-year old batted .257 (63-for-245) with 12 doubles, two triples, five homers, and 26 RBI in 66 games for the Diamondbacks and Mets affiliates.

He made his major league debut with Arizona on August 1, 2017 at Wrigley Field.

In his minor league career, Reinheimer has played 505 games at shortstop, 73 games at second base, 57 games at third base and four games in left field.

Reinheimer was originally selected by Seattle in the fifth round of the 2013 Draft out of East Carolina University.
