No reunion for the Cubs and a fan favorite.

Former Chicago Cubs standout Anthony Rizzo is re-signing with the New York Yankees on a two-year deal worth $40 million according to multiple reports.

The contract consists of $17 for each of the next two seasons and a $6 million buyout in 2025.

There were some rumors of him going to the Astros last night, but it likely was just to drive up the price.

Rizzo hit .224 with 32 homers and 75 RBIs last season. He has smacked 283 homers for his MLB career and drove in 889 runs.

More to come on this breaking news story.
