A newcomer is showing some power early for the Northsiders.

Chicago Cubs third baseman Edwin Rios crushed his third homer of spring on Friday with a solo homer to put the Cubs up 3-1 in the fourth inning against the White Sox.

In 2022 with the Los Angeles Dodgers, he hit .244 with seven homers and 17 RBIs battling injuries.

This is a great sign, as Rios is looking like someone that will provide quite the offense punch for the Cubs this season.
