Bears make several roster moves

by - Senior Editor -

The Chicago Bears announced on Saturday that they placed running back Travis Homer on injured reserve and promoted receiver Collin Johnson and defensive end Byron Cowart from the practice squad.

Homer had surgery to repair a finger after an injury during Wednesday's practice.

He will be eligible to return for the Bears-Commanders game on October 27.

He had three rushes for 16 yards this season and several impressive plays on special teams.

Johnson was a star in the preseason with two touchdown catches.

Cowart had a tackle in his 12 snaps in the win against the Titans.
