The Chicago Bears have signed defensive tackle Travis Bell to the practice squad on Thursday.

Bell took the spot of defensive lineman Sam Roberts who was placed on the injured reserve. He was originally a seventh-round draft pick by the Bears in 2023.

“This is probably one of my favorite human beings,” Poles said about Bell in 2023. “He is a special person. I didn’t want him to leave after his 30 visit, and he didn’t want to leave either. There’s something different about this guy. He is passionate about the game.”

The Atlanta Falcons signed him off of the Bears practice squad on November 1, 2023.

In two games with the Falcons, he had two tackles.

For the 2024 season, he was with the Bengals and had four tackles and a sack during the preseason before being waived during the final round of cuts.
