Roster Move: Bears sign quarterback Brett Rypien

A new quarterback in the interesting QB room for the Bears in 2024.

The Chicago Bears announced Wednesday that they have signed quarterback Brett Rypien to a one-year deal.

The contract is pending a physical.

The 27-year-old has appeared in 10 games with four starts over four seasons with the Broncos and Rams.

Overall, he has thrown for 950 yards and four touchdowns, including nine picks.

He was an undrafted free agent by the Broncos out of Boise State in 2019.

He is the nephew of Super Bowl XXVI MVP quarterback Mark Rypien who played in the NFL for 11 seasons.
