Two Bears out with injuries against Panthers, two more questionable

The Chicago Bears announced their injury report on Friday with defensive tackle Zacch Pickens (groin) and cornerback Terell Smith (hip) already ruled out for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers.

Offensive guard Teven Jenkins and receiver DeAndre Carter are both questionable due to rib injuries.

“(Jenkins) was limited (on Friday but he) looked good and then (Carter), same thing, looked good. He was limited but progressing in the right direction. We’ll see where that goes here in the next 48 hours,” Eberflus said. “Just pain tolerance, torque and movement. That’s really about it, but we’ll see where it goes.”

Both injuries are about the pain threshold and nothing long-term.

Jenkins was a limited participant in practice on Thursday and Friday.

"It's just bruised and just pain tolerance [with] torque and moving — that's really about it," Eberflus said on the hip injuries.

The Panthers released their injury report on Friday and have already ruled out three players for Sunday's game: linebackers Josey Jewell (hamstring), Shaq Thompson (Achilles), and center Andrew Raym (concussion).

The Bears (2-2) and Panthers (1-3) will kick off at noon CT on Sunday from Soldier Field.
