Christopher Morel reacts to being traded

The Christopher Morel era is over in the Windy City.

The Cubs traded away the young slugger and two prospects to the Tampa Bay Rays for All-Star third baseman Isaac Paredes.

"Right now, I can’t think or speak, tears are coming out, but my soul and my heart will always be in Chicago," Morel posted on Instagram on Sunday afternoon.

He was hitting .199 with 18 homers, 51 RBIs, and a .676 OPS entering play today.

Best of luck to Morel in Tampa Bay; he was a great kid to cover in Chicago.
