Nico Hoerner has been out of the lineup recently with a right triceps injury when he was tweaked it on Sept 11.

Hoerner got an MRI on the tricep, and the results came back as a mild to moderate strain on the right tricep.

There is no timetable for his return.

"He feels better every single day," Chicago Cubs manager David Ross said of Hoerner. "[We're] just taking it with a little extra caution."

Ross said Saturday to the media that Hoerner has not been ruled out for the rest of the season but they will be cautious.

In other injury news, Seiya Suzuki's X-rays on his hand were negative for any structural damage after getting hit by a pitch on Wednesday.

He is still out of the lineup, and Ross said that he still has some soreness in his hand.
