Bears waive kicker

The Chicago Bears announced on Tuesday afternoon that they have waived kicker Ramiz Ahmed.

Eddy Pineiro is the only kicker currently on the Bears roster which means he won the kicking competition already until the Bears sign someone else for depth. Pineiro was 23-of-28 field goal attempts last season.

It will be interesting to see if Piniero can make some improvement as a player from last season.

Ahmed was signed by the Bears on April 17.

In 2018, he was 15-for-20 at the University of Nevada.

The Bears roster is now at 79 players but all signs point to the Bears signing defensive back Marqui Christian for Ahmed's previous roster spot.
