The Chicago Cubs announced several roster moves on Monday including trading for veteran outfielder Cameron Maybin from Detriot, reliever Andrew Chafin from Arizona, and Josh Osich from Boston in deals moments before the trade deadline.

Both veteran relievers were traded for players to be named later for cash considerations while Maybin was traded for shortstop prospect Zack Short (No. 1 MLB Pipeline prospect for Cubs).

To make room on the roster, the Cubs DFA'd utility infielder Hernan Perez and outfielder Ian Miller.

The Cubs 60-player pool remains at 58 with three players currently on the injured list and three yet to report (new guys).
