Cubs players release statement on systemic racism |
The Chicago Cubs released a statement on Froday from all their players concerning social justice, equality, and systemic racism.
"Today we come together as one, standing united with all of our black brothers and sisters in advocating for justice, equal opportunity and an end to the destructive force of systemic racism. "For some of us it means listening and supporting. For others it means speaking and acting. For all it means insisting that systemic racism ends now." Anthony Rizzo: "That was our biggest unifying thing, is we’re all family, we’re all teammates, we’re all brothers in this clubhouse ... And that’s the message we put out, and we feel really good about everything that we’re doing as an organization right now."
