Cubs reach one-year deals with Javy Baez, Schwarber, Contreras, Bryant, more

The Chicago Cubs finalized several one-year contracts to avoid arbitration in 2020 with all of their eligible players.

Kris Bryant received $18.6 million, Javy Baez got $10 million, Kyle Schwarber raked in $7.01 million, Willson Contreras got $4.5 million, Albert Almora received $1.575 million, and Kyle Ryan got a modest $975,000.

The $10 million that Baez got was $700K more than MLBTR was projecting so good for El Mago that he was taken care of in 2020.

A happy Baez could mean an extension down the line for him and the Cubbies. Let's all hope for Cubs fans.
