Jon Lester injury update

Tony Crumpton Tony Crumpton  ·  Senior Editor ·

Good news for the Chicago Cubs as their rotation is back at full strength.

Veteran Jon Lester will come off the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain and start Thursday afternon's game and oppose righty Ross Striping of the Dodgers.

This is ideal news for the Cubs as a hamstring strain can be a tricky issue especially for someone at 35 years old. He was injured during the Cubs' opener on April 8.

Lester is 1-0 with a sparkling 2.57 ERA in three starts this season.

Kyle Hendricks, Yu Darvish, and Jose Quintana will follow him in the series against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
