USA TODAY releases projection for Cubs 2020 season

USA TODAY released their MLB projections for 2020 on Tuesday, and it's not pretty on the North Side.

The website had the Chicago Cubs with a fourth-place prediction in the National League Central with an 82-80 overall record. Who's got the over or the under on that number?

The top three in the division were the Cards (88-74), Reds (85-77), and Brewers (84-78).

The Pirates were picked last with a prediction of only 60 wins and 102 losses.

"For a division that figures to be volatile, our six NL Central ballots came back surprisingly identical: Cardinals-Reds-Brewers-Cubs-Pirates," USA TODAY wrote. "Perhaps most jarring is the Cubs' impending irrelevance: They're pegged for a high of 83 wins and a low of 80. A moribund off-season after three years of gradual decay won't win many caucuses."

The baseball game is played on the field and not just talk by national media pundits. We will see what the future holds for the Cubs in 2020 very shortly.
