ST. LOUIS — Taking a page out of Chicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez's book, Cubs third baseman David Bote used a flashy swim move in order to avoid being tagged out on a steal attempt. The impressive stolen base came in the Cubs' matchup with the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday night.
Bote reached base at Busch Stadium via a single in the top of the fourth, and he proceeded to steal second base. Cardinals shortstop Paul DeJong had an opportunity to swipe Bote's left arm, but Bote channeled Baez by pulling his left arm to his side and sliding into second base safely.
