The Chicago Cubs went through some batting practice and defensive drills at beautiful Sloan Park on Thursday.

CubsHQ was on hand to give you an inside look at all things Cubs-related.

During one of the infield drills, David Ross almost got hit by a throw at first base while talking with first baseman Anthony Rizzo.

"Fastest I've moved in a while," Ross joked to his players in the following video.

Grandpa Rossy still has some quick reflexes but it's probably not a great idea to hit the bossman while you are trying to secure a roster spot.
