CHICAGO — Former Chicago Cubs prospect Eloy Jimenez has made a habit out of going yard against the team that traded him away in 2017. The Chicago White Sox outfielder, who was traded to the South Side in return for starting pitcher Jose Quintana, added to the Cubs' misery by slugging a mammoth home run in a blowout on Friday.
With the Cubs trailing 8-0, Jimenez crushed a first-pitch cutter thrown by reliever Colin Rea and sent it 466 feet through the air for one of MLB's longest dingers of the season thus far. Jimenez's ninth homer of the year, the monstrous solo blast marked the fifth tater of the night hit by the South Siders at Wrigley Field.
