CLEVELAND -- Prior to tonight’s series finale at Cleveland, the Chicago White Sox reinstated left-handed pitchers Aaron Bummer and Carlos Rodón from the 45-day injured list and designated right-hander Steve Cishek and left-hander Ross Detwiler for assignment.

Bummer, 26, was placed on the injured list on August 8 with a left biceps strain and transferred to the 45-day injured list on September 5. He is 1-0 with a 1.23 ERA (1 ER/7.1 IP), 12 strikeouts and three holds over seven appearances in 2020. Bummer’s last appearance was on August 7 vs. Cleveland, when he threw 1.2 scoreless IP.

Rodón, 27, has been on the injured list since August 4 with left shoulder soreness. He was transferred to the 45-day injured list on September 13. Rodón is 0-1 with a 9.53 ERA (6 ER/5.2 IP) over two starts this season, and has not pitched since August 3 at Milwaukee (2.0 IP).

Cishek, 34, is 0-0 with a 5.40 ERA (12 ER/20.0 IP) and 21 strikeouts in 22 relief appearances this season, his first with the White Sox after signing as a free agent on January 14.

Detwiler, 34, is 1-1 with a 3.20 ERA (7 ER/19.2 IP) and 15 strikeouts in 16 relief appearances in 2020, his second season with the Sox.

Following the moves, the White Sox 40-man roster remains at 40.
