The Chicago lost to the Detriot Tigers on Wednesday night.

The broader talk of social injustice and the protests throughout the sports world concerning the shooting of 29-year-old Jacob Blake was much larger news.

Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo spoke to the media Wednesday night and voiced his displeasure on what's happening in this country.

“I've gone through a lot with my high school and s**t doesn't change,” he said. “And it's just the fact of the matter. Politicians don’t really give a f*** about us. All they care about is their own agenda. This is just the way it is, and it’s upsetting. I’m sorry to use that language and go off. It’s upsetting.”

Brutally honest and passionate statement by the captain of the Cubs.
