Good news coming out of Cubs camp on Sunday regarding first baseman Anthony Rizzo.

The talented unofficial captain of the Cubs took batting practice with some live throws from righty Colin Rea before the intrasquad scrimmage.

Cubs manager David Ross liked what he saw from Rizzo's batting session.

"He looked good today," he said to the reporters. "I think the main thing we have to do is see how he reacts when he cools down, goes home, and get feedback from him."

Rizzo is still considered day-to-day with lower back tightness and has been limited since Tuesday.

In other Cubs injury news, Albert Almora Jr. is a full go after crashing into the CF wall on Friday night.

Good to see both players getting back healthy as the Cubs will need both players during this 60-game sprint of a season.
