Good news as Cubs manager
David Ross has recovered from the flu and will make his managerial debut today against the Colorado Rockies.
Ross spoke with the media on Tuesday and had a sense of humor with the whole ordeal after missing the first three exhibition games of the spring slate. "Good. Much better. Good to be back," Ross said. "I’ve been taking a little ribbing from the boys. They’ve been texting me, checking on me and sending me Lou Brown in the hospital bed GIFs. It's been pretty fun." Not sure I would call getting the flu as fun but glad to hear he is doing much better. Ross actually was in the hospital on Sunday getting hooked up to an IV for fluids for around four hours. Ross: “What goes around comes around. Just so you know, Jed’s a little under the weather today. That’s karma.”
