10 Cubs minor leaguers are now free-agents

Ten minor leaguers from the Chicago Cubs organization were made free agents this week according to Baseball America.

Here is the full list and what organizational level they played for the Cubs in the past year.

RHP: Scott Carroll (AAA) and Williams Perez (AAA)

2B: Jemile Weeks (AAA)

3B: Chris Dominguez (AAA)

SS: Mike Freeman (AAA), Ozzie Martinez (AAA), and Elliot Soto (AAA)

OF: John Andreoli (AAA), Ryan Kalish (AAA), and Trey Martin (AA)

The Cubs are pretty logjammed with positional players at the major league level, so this is no surprise that they had to let a few minor leaguers go to free agency. Good luck to all of these players and hope they continue their dream of playing in the majors.
