The offseason moves are starting to happen.

The Chicago Cubs claimed off of waivers lefty pitcher Ian Clarkin from the White Sox on Tuesday according to multiple reports. You can never have too many young lefties on your roster is probably the strategy that the Cubs are going with currently.

Clarkin has no major league experience but has an 18-24 record with a 3.55 ERA over five minor league seasons. However, last season was pretty tough for him as he had a 4.98 ERA in 18 appearances (10 starts). He has yet to make an appearance in the majors.

Obviously, he has some talent as the 23-year old was the 33rd overall pick by the New York Yankees in the 2013 MLB draft.
