Cubs lose their Double-A SS in Rule 5 Draft

The Arizona Diamondbacks selected Cubs minor league shortstop Daniel Lockhart in the Rule 5 Draft on Thursday morning.

Lockhart batted .251 with five homers, 139 RBIs, and a .307 on-base percentage in 421 games in the minors.

He was selected in the 10th round by the Chicago Cubs in the 2011 MLB draft and is the son of Cubs scout, Keith Lockhart.
