Chicago Cubs elite prospect Ian Happ could be added to the Chicago Cubs roster on Saturday according to Cubs beat writer Carrie Muskat. The team decided to add him because of the rash of recent injuries with outfielder Jason Heyward (thumb), shortstop Addison Russell (shoulder), outfielder Jon Jay (back), thrid baseman Kris Bryant (stomach), and others.

Happ was batting .298 with nine homers and 25 RBIs so far this season and rated as the Cubs No. 2 prospect and No. 24 in the MLB. For his short minor league career, he has 33 homers and 131 RBI in 227 games.

In spring training, Happ hit an insane .417 with four doubles and five home runs.
