Bears sign USC offensive lineman Bobby Haskins to free agent deal

Tony Crumpton Tony Crumpton - Senior Editor -

Former USC offensive tackle Bobby Haskins has signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent, joining the team's youth movement on the offensive line.

Haskins spent four years playing at Virginia, where he played in 45 games with 20 starts. He then transferred to USC for his senior year, where he played in 13 games.

Haskins' versatility as an offensive tackle gives him a chance to fight for a 53-man roster spot with the Bears, who are looking to bolster their offensive line depth.

While he was not selected in the 2023 NFL Draft, Haskins' experience and potential make him a candidate for at least a practice squad spot.

It will be interesting to see how Haskins performs in training camp and preseason games and how he fits into the Bears' plans for the future.
