CHICAGO - After an electric win over the Cincinnati Bengals, the Chicago Bears are back in action to take on the New York Giants on Sun, Nov. 9 (Noon / FOX). The 2-7 Giants have had a rough season as they have lost their top receiver and running back to injury. They will be without numerous other players when they face Chicago.

In part because of these injuries, New York and Chicago enter this game as 4.5-point favorites with an over / under of 47.5 points according to DraftKings. Five of the seven games the Giants have lost have been by two possessions or more. They can put up some points, but they have lost every game where they have given up at least 20 points. Therefore, this is a game where the Bears should certainly cover the spread. A $5 bet for Chicago to cover the spread (-110) would have a payout of $9.54.

The key for Chicago’s defense will be shutting down the run when they face the Giants. When the Giants have rushed for over 140 yards, they are 2-0. However, that was before their top running back suffered a season-ending injury. Still, the Bears will have to contend with running backs Tyrone Tracy and Devin Singletary in addition to their quarterback, Jaxton Dart.

The Bears have held opponents to under 50 rushing yards in two of the last three games and therefore, they should be able to contain New York’s offense. That is why the under will hit in this game. A $5 bet for the under to hit (-118) would have a payout of $9.23.

Player Props

Quarterback Caleb Williams is coming off his second consecutive game with at least 280 passing yards and had three passing touchdowns against the Cincinnati Bengals. He has a lot of momentum on his side and is going against a struggling New York secondary. Especially given the talent the Giants have on the defensive line, Williams will need to get the ball out quick and Chicago’s receivers have a lot of after-the-play ability. Therefore, Williams will get to at least 260 passing yards in this game. The payout on a $5 bet for Williams to throw for at least 260 passing yards (+239) is $16.95.

It is typical at this point in the season for injuries to loom large. While that is certainly the case for the Giants, injuries are also affecting Chicago. Running back D’Andre Swift (personal / groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. If he is able to play, he will surely get a lot of action. Therefore, he will score at least two touchdowns against New York. If Swift is not able to play, then rookie running back Kyle Monangai will have at least two touchdowns. The payout on a $5 bet for Swift to score at least two touchdowns (+290) would be $19.50 while the payout on a $5 bet for Monangai to score at least two touchdowns (+320) is $21.

There is something about wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus that Williams really likes. In the past two games, Zaccheaus has 13 receptions. Over the course of the season so far, he is tied with Rome Odunze for the most receptions. This makes him a good bet with profitable odds. Therefore, he will have at least six receptions in this game. A $5 bet for Zaccheaus to have at least five receptions would have a payout of $15.45

Same-Game Parlay - If Swift Plays

In a same-game parlay with Chicago covering the spread, the under hitting, Williams throwing for at least 260 passing yards, Swift scoring at least two touchdowns and Zaccheaus having at least five receptions (+21000), a $5 bet would have a payout of $1,055.

Same-Game Parlay - If Swift Does Not Play

In a same-game parlay with Chicago covering the spread, the under hitting, Williams throwing for at least 260 passing yards, Monangai scoring at least two touchdowns and Zaccheaus having at least five receptions (+17000), a $5 bet would have a payout of $755.

DraftKings Featured Parlay - “Backfield Beasts”

This four-legged parlay has Monangai, James Cook with the Buffalo Bills, Derrick Henry with the Baltimore Ravens, and Alvin Kamara with the New Orleans Saints each scoring a touchdown. Cook and Henry have been some of the league’s top rushers, even though Henry is having a down year. Kamara has not recorded a touchdown since week one. However, these players have favorable matchups that could allow them all to score a touchdown. A $5 bet on this parlay (+967) would have a payout of $53.39.
