Chicago Cubs second baseman Nico Hoerner underwent right flexor tendon surgery on October 11, according to Cubs officials.

It was successful and was performed by Dr. Keith Meister.

Hoerner hit .273 with seven homers and 48 RBIs in 2024. It was his lowest slugging percentage in his three full seasons.

His average WAR in the last three seasons is at 4.3.

Hopefully, Hoerner will be ready to go for spring training, as he is one of their main players who needs to play well in 2025.
