Ian Happ smacked a solo homer on his ninth pitch of the at-bat to put the Cubs up 1-0 against the rival Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday afternoon at Wrigley Field.
The home run came off Brewers starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff, who had been pitching a gem up until that point. Woodruff had held the Cubs to just two hits through the first five innings and had struck out six batters.
