On Wednesday night, MLB Network announced that Reds starting pitcher Trevor Bauer was named the National League Cy Young Award winner with 27 first-place votes.

Cubs starting pitcher Yu Darvish was announced as the runner-up for the prestigious award garnering three first place votes, 24 second-place votes and two third-place votes for 123 total points.

Third place went to Mets' Jacob deGrom with 89 points.

Darvish had an impressive 8-3 record with a 2.01 ERA with 93 strikeouts, and a sparkling 0.96 WHIP in 12 starts this past season.
