PITTSBURGH — With his second home run of the season, Chicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez lofted a two-run blast in the top of the sixth on Thursday. Baez's go-ahead home run cleared the wall in the left field corner at PNC Park, putting the Cubs up 3-2 over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Starter Tyler Anderson gave up the dinger on an 80-mph changeup and was removed from the game soon afterward. First baseman Anthony Rizzo, who singled in the previous at-bat, was plated by the round-tripper. "Javy" made contact with Anderson's low breaking ball out of the zone, lifting the pitch into the seats. The 367-footer was Baez's second long ball of the year.
