New general manager Ryan Poles is making moves early in his career in Chi-Town.

The Chicago Bears are finalizing a deal to trade star linebacker Khalil Mack to the Chargers for a second rounder this year and a sixth-rounder next season according to multiple reports.

His contract runs through the 2024 season and this will open up around $6.15 million in cap space ($30.15 million salary for 2022) for more roster flexibility.

Mack had six sacks in seven games last season as he battled through various injuries.

In four years with the Bears, he has 36 sacks in 53 games.
