The Mitch Trubisky era is over.

Former Chicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky has agreed to a one-year deal worth $2.25 million with the Buffalo Bills on Thursday.

Trubisky will now go from being a starter to a backup behind standout quarterback Josh Allen.

"Athletically, he can do a lot of things that Josh (Allen) can do," Bills general manager Brandon Beane said about their new quarterback acquisition. "This is a reset for him. We don't expect him to be here long-term."

In 2020, Trubiksy threw for 2055 yards with 16 passing touchdowns and only 8 interceptions for a QBR of 61.3.

In four seasons with the Bears, he completed 64 percent of his passes for 10,609 yards, 64 touchdowns, and 37 interceptions.

The Bears will get a 7th round 2022 compensatory pick for Trubisky.
