CHICAGO — Taking matters into his own hands after the Chicago Cubs wasted multiple auspicious scoring opportunities in earlier innings, Kyle Schwarber crushed a go-ahead two-run jack in the sixth inning on Sunday. The dinger plated Javier Baez, who doubled in the previous at-bat, and put the Cubs up 2-1 on the Chicago White Sox.

White Sox starter Dylan Cease gave up the 430-foot blast to center on a slider. Schwarber now has five homers and 12 RBIs on the season. The round-tripper at Wrigley Field left the bat at 102 mph and sported a 30-degree launch angle. It marked the first home run of the series for the North Siders.
