CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Improving to 3-0 both on the road and against NFC South teams, the Chicago Bears defeated the Carolina Panthers (3-3) 23-16 at Bank of America Stadium on Sunday. The Bears' defense forced three turnovers in the Week 6 matchup, including a game-sealing interception by DeAndre Houston-Carson on the Panthers' final offensive play.

Nick Foles scored on a quarterback sneak for Chicago's first third-quarter scoring play of the season, and, in the first quarter, he connected with rookie Cole Kmet for the first touchdown reception of Kmet's career. Kicker Cairo Santos went 3-for-3 on field goal attempts for the Bears, including a 55-yarder in the final seconds of the first half.
