The offseason is here, and players will be changing teams fast and furious as we head towards the upcoming 2021 season.

One of the most beloved pitchers in Chicago Cubs history is veteran lefty Jon Lester.

Lester is currently a free agent, and a report by MLB insider Jon Morosi on Tuesday has the San Francisco Giants interested in his services for next season.

"SFGiants interested in free agent LHP Jon Lester," he posted on social media. "The Giants would like to add one more starting pitcher this offseason, and Lester seriously considered signing with San Francisco before joining the #Cubs after the '14 season."

Current Giants general manager Scott Harris knows Lester well from his time in the Cubs front office.

Lester was 3-3 with a 5.16 ERA in 12 starts last season.

In six seasons with the Cubs, Lester had a 77-44 record with a 3.64 ERA in 171 starts. His 77 victories were the fifth-most among Cubs lefties all-time.
