CHICAGO — Kyle Hendricks lit up the Milwaukee Brewers on Opening Day, striking out nine and pitching a complete game shutout. The mild-mannered Chicago Cubs ace breezed through the Brewers' batting order en route to the Cubs winning 3-0 at home.

Following their shutout victory at Wrigley Field on Friday, Cubs players decided to celebrate by attempting to douse Kyle Hendricks with whatever liquid substance was in the Gatorade coolers they carried. Splashing only the lower half of Hendricks' body, at least the pranksters elicited a grin from the usually stone-faced hurler.
