Chicago Cubs pitching coach Chris Bosio will be away on personal matters the next few days according to multiple reports on Monday. The veteran pitching coach will be missed as he is a former major league starter with ten years of experience with the Milwaukee Brewers and Seattle Mariners while even throwing a no-hitter in 1993.

Bosio is expected to re-join the team for the next homestand on May 1 vs. Phillies.

Bullpen coach Lester Strode will now serve as the pitching coach for the Cubs during their three-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Henry Blanco will now fill in as the bullpen coach.
