Chicago Cubs manager Craig Counsell updated a few injuries on his team on Thursday.

First, Cubs right-handed pitcher Caleb Kilian has a teres major strain and will be expected to be out until around the All-Star break.

He will likely be placed on the Cubs 60-day IL to open up a slot on the 40-man roster.

Cubs infielder Nick Madrigal had a MRI and the results showed a hamstring strain.

"We’re going to progress him over the next week, and then we’ll have a good idea where we’re at,” Counsell said.

While Madrigal is down, look for Christopher Morel and Patrick Wisdom to pick up the slack at third base.
