Dexter Fowler and his wife welcome baby girl 'Ivy'

The Fourth of July was even more special for the Fowler family.

Former Chicago Cubs outfielder Dexter Fowler and his wife Aliya welcomed their new baby girl 'Ivy Noor' to the world on Wednesday. The Fowlers shared pictures of the baby on Instagram and Dexter posted the following message:

"This is what it’s all about! Welcome to the world Ivy Noor Fowler! My 3 angels...I’m truly blessed!"

Even though her name 'Ivy' could have been named after Wrigley Field's ivy-covered walls, Aliya dismissed that idea.

"PSA @cubs fans: despite your excitement, the name Ivy has nothing to do with Wrigley. Can we please have a baby without a Cubs Cards dispute."

Congratulations to the happy family from everyone at CubsHQ.com.
