Miguel Amaya injury update |
Chicago Cubs catcher Miguel Amaya got hit by a pitch on the right wrist by Mike Baumann during Sunday's home loss to the Baltimore Orioles.
After the game, Cubs manager David Ross had an update on his condition. "X-rays were negative," Ross said to reporters. "I think he will be alright from talking to the trainers so far but we will see how he feels tomorrow and go from there." Ross said it was "more of the palm region," and Amaya was nervous about it from where he got hit. In 37 at-bats this season, Amaya is hitting .243 with two homers and 6 RBIs.
