Bears make several roster moves including OL to IR

by - Senior Editor -

The Chicago Bears announced several moves before Sunday's game against the Houston Texans.

They have placed offensive lineman Ryan Bates on injured reserve, signed long snapper Scott Daly to the practice squad, and added receiver Collin Johnson from the practice squad.

Bates will be out for at least four games, and Nate Davis will likely fill in while he is out.

Daly will be the starting long snapper because of the injury to Patrick Scales.

Johnson was added to the game roster because of the uncertainty surrounding injuries to receivers Rome Odunze (knee) and Keenan Allen (foot).

Both players will be game-time decisions.

Johnson was a standout performer in the preseason, making several highlight catches before getting injured.
