The Chicago Bears announced on Thursday that they have released quarterback Nathan Peterman.

The Bears now only have two quarterbacks on the roster with Justin Fields and rookie Tyson Bagent.

In addition, they have activated left guard Tevin Jenkins off of injured reserve, and he will start tonight against the Washington Commanders.

Jenkins has missed the season's first four games because of a calf injury.

The team also flexed safety AJ Thomas, to the active roster because of all the injuries to the secondary.

Thomas has not gotten into a game yet this season. He was active against the Broncos.

The Bears (0-4) and Commanders (2-2) will face off at 7:15 p.m. CT on Thursday from FedEx Field.
