Bears vs. Packers Picks: Spreads, Player Props, and Parlay Value |
CHICAGO - Just like last time the Chicago Bears faced the Green Bay Packers, the stakes are high, and playoff berths and seeding are on the line this coming Saturday (7:20 p.m / FOX). Either team could clinch a playoff berth with a win plus a loss by the Detroit Lions against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
According to DraftKings, the over/under for this game is 46.5 points, with the Bears as 1.5-point favorites over Green Bay. This game will be much different than last time in Lambeau Field. Chicago will have the fans on their side, Micah Parsons is out for Green Bay, and the Packers have numerous other players who are questionable, including running back Josh Jacobs, guard Zach Tom, and wide receiver Christian Watson. Chicago has played in many close games this season. In fact, almost all of their games this season have been one-score games, including the last time the Bears played the Packers. While this should surely be another one-score game, Chicago will come out on top and cover the spread. A $5 bet for the Bears to cover the spread (-112) would have a payout of $9.46. The Bears tend to give up a lot of yards. In fact, the Chicago defense allows nearly 6 yards per play. Last time against Green Bay, they gave up 28 points and 337 yards. This should be another high-scoring game, even though Chicago’s defense is getting healthier and Green Bay’s defense is not. Therefore, the over will hit in this game. A $5 bet for the over to hit (-110) would have a payout of $9.54. Player Props Quarterback Caleb Williams may be without two of his top wide receivers in this game - Rome Odunze with a foot injury and Luther Burden III with an ankle injury - but he always seems to find a way. He connected with wide receiver DJ Moore twice last week against the Cleveland Browns. In fact, he has thrown at least two touchdowns in three of his last four games and he will do so again in his game. A $5 bet on Williams to throw at least two touchdowns against Green Bay on Saturday (-104) would have a payout of $9.80. Moore became a top option for Williams against the Browns with Odunze and Burden III out of the lineup. His performance against Green Bay last time was an anomaly as he usually does well against the Packers. The Denver Broncos also showed how to attack the Packers secondary in their win against Green Bay last week. Chicago will learn from that to get Moore open and therefore, he will have at least six receptions in this game. A $5 bet for Moore to have at least six receptions (+286) would have a payout of $19.30. Chicago has only been held without a rushing touchdown in two games this season - their victory against the Dallas Cowboys in week 3 and their loss to the Packers earlier this year. The Bears are always stubborn in the run game and will not want to have another game against Green Bay without a rushing touchdown. Running back D’Andre Swift is coming off a two-touchdown performance against Cleveland and will be looking to ride this momentum. Therefore, Swift will score a touchdown in this game, most likely on the ground. A $5 bet for Swift to score a touchdown (+135) would have a payout of $11.75. Same-Game Parlay In a same-game parlay with Chicago covering the spread, the over hitting, Williams throwing at least two touchdowns, Moore having at least six receptions, and Swift scoring a touchdown (+2600), a $5 bet would have a payout of $135. DraftKings Featured Parlay - “40 Yard Smash” This six-legged parlay includes Moore, tight end Colston Loveland, Philadelphia Eagles receivers DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown, and Washington Commanders receivers Deebo Samuel and Terry McLaurin, each with at least 40 receiving yards in their respective games. Moore and Loveland will be Williams’ top targets against Green Bay. Moore has at least 60 receiving yards in two of his last four games, while Loveland has at least 40 receiving yards in three of his last five games, making this a good bet for these players. For the Eagles and Commanders, this could be a shootout, with the Commanders coming off a 29-point performance, while the Eagles are coming off a dominant victory against the Las Vegas Raiders. Both offenses have proved they can score, primarily using their top receivers - Brown and Smith for the Eagles and Samuel and McLaurin for the Commanders. Therefore, this seems like a good bet for these players as well. According to DraftKings, a $5 bet on this parlay (+977) would have a payout of $53.86.
