Next man up mentality.

Chicago Bears inside linebacker Roquan Smith has suffered a torn pectoral and will be placed on season-ending injured reserve list.

Nagy confirmed the news during Monday's media session.

Surgery will be needed to repair the injury. He suffered the injury in the Cowboy's opening drive in the Bear's win last Thursday night.

Smith had 102 tackles including five tackles for loss, two sacks, and an interception in 12 games this season.

Kevin Pierre-Louis will now be the starter at inside linebacker.
