CINCINNATI — On the second pitch of the game, Anthony Rizzo belted a 410-foot homer against the Cincinnati Reds on Friday. Mere moments after leadoff man Ian Happ flied out on the opening pitch, Rizzo went yard in the top of the first.

Reds righty Tyler Mahle gave up the solo dinger on a four-seamer. Rizzo smoked the pitch 102 mph out to right at Great American Ball Park, putting Chicago ahead 1-0. Rizzo now has six home runs and 13 RBIs on the season. Kyle Schwarber hit a long ball later in the inning, increasing the Cubs' lead to 2-0.
