Grimm: "We’re the best team in baseball"

Cubs reliever Justin Grimm came into the game on Friday night as he procured a ground ball out on a 3-2 count with the bases loaded and secured a 4-6-3 double play to end the fifth inning.

Grimm pumped his fist in the air and screamed in jubilation after the crucial play. He did not induce a ground-ball double play in the entire regular season. The last time that Cubs turned an inning-ending double play with the bases loaded in a World Series game was 1935 against the Tigers according to ESPN Stats.

Grimm spoke to reporters after the game and thinks that the Cubs will not lose two more games in a row and the series will return to Cleveland.

“I have a biased opinion, but we’re the best team in baseball,” reliever Justin Grimm said. “We’re going to bounce back tomorrow. Obviously, we’re going back to Cleveland, for sure. We’re going to be all right. And we’re going to get it done.”
